Idea to share:
One of our "think outside the box" teachers has decided to create a Google Form for her students to use as a pre-learning task. They will answer some questions that are designed to get them thinking about their own experience of "home" before they explore "home" in a broader way in class the next day.
She will embed the form on her class page for easy access, and will also email them the link to the form. Her form includes "student name" as a text field to track who submitted a form and give them credit for completing it...

Love this idea. It is always easier to teach when students have some prior understanding of the topic. This could be used as a warm up before class starts or at home after reading.
