Our 3D art classes are posting photos of their work, self-evaluating, and then commenting on other student work. The blog is private, authors only can read/post/comment. All students are authors so they can all post. The sections are all posting to the same blog, and are required to comment on work for students outside their class period. What a fun way to share and get feedback!
This type of ongoing class blog can be translated to any subject - whether posting social justice issues, blogging about scientific news, or writing poetry in Spanish. The key is to make it interesting and require students to comment to each other as part of the process. Participation points can be given for more than raising your hand in class, and as we address learning differences, this opens lots of doors.
