Louisville provides access from your computer to current educational relief maps, political maps, interactive historical maps, gov and econ charts, outline maps of everything you can think of, and a digital desk atlas. StrataLogica’s maps/charts project beautifully, and your students can access them from home. Visit http://www.stratalogica.com and sign in with any of the usernames/passwords below.
What can it do?
The relief and historical maps all use a 3D global format with Google Earth interface. Students enjoy manipulating the maps and the familiar Google Earth feel.
StrataLogica allows you to move from the political map to Google Earth view, open two maps side by side, and pull down a 2D map on top of them. You can also print or display outline maps, organize creative quizzes, use for review, etc.
2011-2012:I have created usernames and passwords for you and your students to access appropriate maps, charts and atlas.
Each username can be shared by all of your students, and you as well.
I have pre-selected items that I felt would apply to your classes, and you can use the map Library to add (or remove) more maps.
The following accounts have been created -- with username and password the same, all lower case:
• world
• euro
• us
• modern – 1500’s up?
• religion (middle east, Europe, Islam, crusades, etc.)
• gov (charts)
• econ (charts)
• english – let me know what you would go along with your novels, etc.
• spanish – Spanish speaking regions/countries
• French – French speaking regions/countries
• Generic sign in for random users is louisvillehs with password student
Any other teachers who want access to maps please reply and I’ll set up an account for you and your class.
Visit and create a link to www.stratalogica.com on your desktop: R-click new, shortcut. Or there is a link on Academics page.
I’d be happy to visit your department meetings for a quick group review, as the interface is a bit nicer since an upgrade.
Visit me or grab me in dining room for a 1-on-1 demo!
