The sophomore class will create informational presentations for their religion classes using Prezi, a simple but fun 3D presentation tool. That neat video that Michael showed at our WASC meeting was made using Prezi and other tools. After next week, all sophomores will know how to use Prezi for projects, presentations and creative assignments.
I would like juniors and seniors to have exposure to Prezi as well, and have had feedback from a college freshmen at USC that her professors like it. So if a presentation is part of your curriculum this semester, consider requiring Prezi instead of PowerPoint. The content and presentation requirements are the same for students, but Prezi has a more fluid and flexible look and feel. It also allows for an overview or “big picture” view that PowerPoint does not have.
Curious teachers can use THIS LINK to create your free Teacher Edu Enjoy account using your louisvillehs.org email address. When asked for your school web site address enter www.louisvillehs.org. It will send you a link to click in your email account, so click the link they
send you to complete your registration.
Think about it and let me know. I will also let you know how it goes with the sophomores!
