For an interesting twist on professional development, try
taking a course from the Online School for Girls between now and August.
Courses fulfill in-service requirements for your employment
while exposing you to what an online course looks and feels like as a student.
Most participants are teachers at other all-girls schools in
the U.S. I would suggest one of the following:
· BLENDED LEARNING I: INTRODUCTION TO THEORY AND PRACTICE
· BLENDED LEARNING II: REVERSE CLASSROOM AND ENHANCE INSTRUCTION
· BRAIN BASED LEARNING FOR GIRLS
· SINGLE GENDER EDUCATION: A COURSE FOR TEACHERS NEW TO GIRLS’ SCHOOLS
I would love to have at least one teacher take one of the above, so we can present/summarize for the general faculty next fall. Please let me know if you are interested, first come first served as we have the $$! I’m going to take one but haven’t chosen yet!
