Hello! Are you interested in upgrading your classroom with an Eno board as we installed last summer in rooms 4 and 9? They are bright, engaging, well-centered and fun!
-A projector is mounted above so you don’t need a pull-down screen anymore
-Write on them just like ordinary whiteboards when not in use
-A stylus makes the board act like a giant tablet pc
-Gets the teacher out from behind his/her laptop
-Gets students physically involved in the lesson
-Connect the projector just like you do now, but from the front of the room instead of the side or rear
-Keep your document camera and audio/video equipment in the front of the room too!
Go take a look at those classrooms and let me know if you want a true demo to try it out. We need to know how many teachers are interested so we can plan for summer purchase and installation.
I like the term "flipped lesson" for now, since none of our teachers have flipped everything they do! Here is a nice article about how using Poll Everywhere (a free online polling system) can give your feedback after students watch a video or uploaded lecture, etc. If the poll is well designed, it can provide information about what material needs further instruction, gather excellent questions for the next class, etc. Click this link for the article... http://blog.polleverywhere.com/flipped-classroom-assessment-with-poll-everywhere/?utm_source=Poll+Everywhere+New+Feature+Newsletter&utm_campaign=30d3b12e48-Winter_Newsletter_2013_Gen_Olders_3_star_2_2013&utm_medium=email
