Pre-lesson assignment with Google Form

Idea to share: One of our "think outside the box" teachers has decided to create a Google Form for her students to use as a pre-learning task. They will answer some questions that are designed to get them thinking about their own experience of "home" before they explore "home" in a broader way in class the next day. She will embed the form on her class page for easy access, and will also email them the link to the form. Her form includes "student name" as a text field to track who submitted a form and give them credit for completing it...

What the heck is a MOOC?

Well I guess if you don't know you should get with the program. Here's a quick visual way to learn about MOOCS! This "infographic" tells you lots about MOOCs and lets you also see how an infographic visually arranges information in a memorable and meaningful way. BTW, infographics make great assignments because they still require excellent writing and add a layer of creative  and critical thinking as the designer "lays it all out" for the viewer.
