CUE (Computer Using Educators) Conference

The annual CUE (Computer Using Educators) Conference is held in Palm Springs… on March 18/19. It’s a wonderful conference that is casual, relaxed and lots of fun. The variety is amazing, and the content is inspiring and rejuvenating. You attend the sessions that interest you as an individual. Conferences are a great part of your professional development and continuing education as professionals, so I strongly urge you to consider attending. Substitutes will be arranged for you. We’d love to bring several teachers with us this year, all expenses paid. Please browse the sessions and consider joining us. We carpool, stay in a cool hotel, eat at Palm Springs restaurants, explore the amazing exhibit hall and have a great time. I left the session catalogue in the DINING ROOM next to the printer for you. Registration is open now and is cheaper if we sign up early. Priority will be given to teachers who did not attend last year. You can get more info here, or see me for details. http://www.cu...

4,000 assignments collected electronically!

Congratulations to Louisville teachers on collecting over 4,000 assignments, and saving between 5,000 and 10,000 pieces of paper during the Fall Semester by using our Drop Box tool! You are also saving printer toner, viewing assignments in full color, and collecting a wide variety of assignments such as audio, video, comic life, graphs and presentations. These assignments appeal to visual learners, develop language skills and provide opportunity for critical and creative thinking. Students are learning a valuable skill by submitting assignments electronically, too. Imagine how much paper we’d be saving if more teachers used their Drop Box, even occasionally? Let’s double this for second semester!
