Successful Digital Story Projects

Photo Story gets the job done easily! But several things will ensure that the projects are completed on time with minimum hassle: Written script complete and checked by the teacher before beginning computer work. All students must be in possession of a flash drive if that is the method of saving work. Preview the program with the class using a projector Demonstrate the saving process! The advantage of students working in pairs is that there are half as many to trouble-shoot and save. Narration is more fun, and they can help each other out with the process. It's so much fun, though, that they may need reminders of time limitations. Students will tend to get excited about the details (removing black borders, transitions, music) and not finish in time. Emphasize that these are "fluff" and that the images and narration should take priority. Then they can play with the fun features at the end.
